As an art facilitator I lead workshops and projects in many different hands-on mediums, imagined to spark playful exploration and conversation. I enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities. I've held extended visual artist residencies at Redeemer Lutheran (2013-2019) and Westminster Presbyterian (2021-2022) in Minneapolis.
As a community art facilitator since 2013, I've primarily done workshops and group art with mixed groups where a majority might not consider themselves artists. I believe that making art can be a sacred group experience, a way to work together with our hands while opening up vulnerable or challenging conversations, and a healing space of playful spiritual resistance for people of any age. Making art can be a calling, a dedicated discipline taking lifetimes to master--and also a simple, everyday ritual that feeds the soul.
